Sep 14, 2015 Posts: 11. 10 New 03 Sep 2015 #1. How to open multiple website in Window 10 Microsoft Edge? The Microsoft Edage has changed Internet Explorer to open multiple website. I am unable to right click the Edge to open another website but keep the current one. Open the web pages you want in tabs, then drag each tab off of the tab bar, it will. Aug 29, 2011 My normal.dotm file in Word for Mac 2011 has been corrupted. How do I create, including my macros, and save (Word won't let me save as a 'dotm'). The normal template in My Templates is OK but I need a dotm. I'm running Word 14.1.2 on OS X 10.7 Many thanks. I have been searching the web for hours but there is next to nothing on Word 2011. Apr 30, 2012 I've been working with Word for a couple of decades (!) now, but still it surprises me with what it can do. There are some things I rarely use (such as mail merge), so I'm not familiar with how they work, and then there are other things I just didn't even realize were in Word.
When you want more than a printout with the default of every Word 2011 for Mac printer setting, you can find more options by choosing File→Print or pressing Command-P to bring up the Print dialog. You can even find an option here to expose every possible printer control.
Apr 20, 2008 When I left-click and drag my mouse over text in MS Word or in an e-mail message in Outlook Express, then the text is highlighted and ready to delete, copy, paste etc. In other words, everything works as it should in those situations. My mouse will NOT select text in Notepad. Also, it won't do it in the address bar of Internet Explorer.
Picking a printer in Word 2011 for Mac
The Printer pop-up menu enables you to choose from three options:
List of printers: All available printers are shown, and you can choose which one to use.
Add Printer: Opens the Mac OS X printer options dialog and allows you to add a printer.
Print and Fax Preferences: Opens the Mac OS X Print & Fax system preferences dialog.
Picking a set of preset printing options in Word 2011 for Mac
The Presets pop-up menu enables you to choose from several different printing presets:
Standard: Most of the time, this is the best one to use.
Last Used Settings: Might be the one for you if you have some special customized presets.
List of Customized Presets: If you’ve created customized presets in the advanced printing options, you can choose one of them.
Printing to PDF in Word 2011 for Mac
One of the really neat things about having a Mac is that every application that can print prints to PDF (Portable Document Format). Word is no exception, except that in Word, you can choose File→Save As and in the Format pop-up menu, choose PDF.
Unless you need one of the other PDF options in the following list, you don’t have to go through the Print dialog to make a PDF. Here’s a rundown on the PDF printing options:
Save as PDF: Opens the Save dialog to save your document as PDF.
Save as PostScript: Opens the Save dialog to save your document as a .ps postscript file. A PostScript printer is needed to print the file.
Fax PDF: Opens the Print dialog to a Mac OS X Fax cover sheet. If your Mac has a dialup modem, you can use this option to fax your file.
Mail PDF: Opens an e-mail message in Apple Mail, not Microsoft Outlook, and adds the PDF as an attachment.
Save as PDF-X: This option flattens transparency and changes colors to CYMK.
Save PDF to iPhoto: Creates a PDF and sends the PDF to iPhoto.
Save PDF to Web Receipts Folder: Creates a PDF and puts it into your Web Receipts folder.
Edit Menu: Allows you to add custom PDF workflows. Click the Help button in the Print dialog for more details.
Previewing in Mac OS X Preview
The Print dialog is standard for all applications that can print. Mac OS X offers a preview of your document when you click the Preview button. The File→Print Preview command path is no longer available.
Use the steps in this article if this happens in Safari on your Mac:
- You can’t log in to a secure website.
- A webpage repeatedly reloads or redirects.
- A message on a webpage tells you to remove or reset cookies.
- Some images, videos, or other items aren't displayed on a webpage, but other page elements load.
Check Parental Controls
If you're logged into a user account that is restricted by Parental Controls or other web filtering software, some pages or page elements might not load if those sites aren't allowed. For example, embedded videos might not display if they're hosted on a site other than the one you're viewing.
Check with your administrator to see if you can get access to the site that you're trying to view.
Check Safari extensions
Some Safari extensions that block ads or other website content can prevent some page elements from displaying. You can temporarily turn off extensions, then re-load the page to see if this is the issue.
- Choose Safari > Preferences.
- Click Extensions.
- Select an extension, then deselect the checkbox 'Enable… extension.' Repeat this step for every extension that's currently installed.
Reload the page by choosing Choose View > Reload in Safari. If the webpage loads correctly, one or more extensions was blocking the content from loading. Re-enable an extension, then reload the page again to determine which extension is blocking the content you want to view.
If the website still doesn't load with all of your extensions disabled, try the next steps in this article.
If Safari doesn't load pages from a specific site
If only one webpage or website isn't working, you can remove data related to that site to see if it fixes the issue. Use these steps to remove cookies, cache, and other data stored by Safari for a specific site:
- Choose Safari > Preferences.
- Click the Privacy icon.
- Click the Details button.
- Search for the name or domain of the website whose data you want to remove.
- In the results list, click the domain (like example.com) that has data you want to remove.
- Click Remove.
- When you're finished, click Done and close the preferences window.
Open Webmail
If you used the Private Browsing feature of Safari when visiting a website, you might not see the site listed here.
If Safari doesn't load pages from multiple sites
In OS X Yosemite, you can delete website data for the past hour, or past few days if websites or pages stopped loading recently.
- Choose History > Clear History and Website Data.
- In the sheet that appears, choose the range of data you want to remove from the Clear pop-up menu.
- Click Clear History.
If you want to remove website data for all of the sites and pages you've ever visited, choose 'all history' from the Clear pop-up menu. The option to Remove All Website Data in the Privacy pane of Safari preferences does this, too. These options also reset your browsing history and Top Sites.
